Miner killed in coal mine blast

QUETTA: A miner lost life and more than 50 workers were trapped inside when a coal mine in Balochistan, 35km away from the provincial capital collapsed after gas explosions, Geo News reported.

Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC) owned the mine. President Pakistan Central Mines Labour Federation (PCMLF), Bakht Khan confirmed the accident and feared a high death toll. Local workers started rescue operation on their own and recovered a dead body.
