“The people of Lyari take part in donkey-cart race being a traditional sport of the city and we all should appreciate and promote it as we want to live here like brothers without discrimination of cast and creed,” she said while addressing the participants of donkey-cart race at Jahangir Kothari Parade at Clifton.
The donkey-cart race started from Gulbai and ended at Kothari Parade. The donkey-cart driver Peeral won the first position by covering 13km distance in 18 minutes while Muhammad Saeed secured second andKamo Shah was declared third.
Nasreen Jalil gave away Rs.10, 000/- to first position holder, Rs.7000/- to second and Rs.5000/- to third. Rs.500/- each were paid to all those who took part in race.Some camels have been found in snow cold areas of north Sweden.

A Somali national Ali, based in Sweden came to know about these camels and started breeding them.
It is worth mentioning that camel does not belong to this area and its presence in cold areas of Sweden is an interesting thing.
Camel breeding in this area may open new avenues of business activity.
